Yukio Mishima once said in New Lectures about Love that “human love is subject to historical, social, and environmental constraints. It reflects the history and culture of all mankind. The love that you and I have now is not a lone meteor that falls from the sky, for a love that begins with one person is completely bound by something.”

Love is the most intuitive manifestation of human sensuality. While society gives love a large space for fantasy and expectations, the pursuit of profit in today's society has undeniably become a huge factor that affects the development of relationships.
In light of this social trend, “Syst’aime,” a fictional tabloid chronicling the materialized relationships in this day and age through the lens of a journalist was created. With sophisticated observation of all kinds of relationships in society, she has collected people’s stories into the column reports of four selected news events, delineating how the values of today's capitalized society interfere with each relationship, and hope that readers will rethink the way people validate love after receiving this issue.
